HIGHWAY TO HELL! And other places

"We're in a rush for as much as I know, but it's up to Artie." Dylan answered with a shrug and then glanced at her. He had to tell her how he felt about her. He'd go crazy if he didnt. But now wasn't the time. He wasn't sure when the time was buthe knew that it would have to be soon.

((Meanwhile miles away))

Dominic drove full speed a head on his motorbike. He knew that Dylan was coming to Chicago. Something in his head was telling him so. He was being guided mentally to a mysterious place that he knew nothing about. But that didn't matter to him. He had to kill Dylan. And if this unknown location in Chicago would help him do that, then consider him your best friend.

"You can call me dad, Artie," Logan smiled, and pressed down harder on the gas, going around a large truck. He looked in the rear view mirror, but wasn't sure who or what was exactly following them, so he continued on the gas.

"Are they still following us?" He asked.

"All right," Logan said, holding out a hand to Dylan, whilst still paying attention to the road. He planned, when they teleported, to put the cars emergency brake on, hindering the person that was tailing them. Even if Artemis had done it, it was just to make sure.

Wolverine slowed down the car quickly, as they were now off of the highway, and onto a normal road. Although it was open, Logan didn't want to be hindered by the chance of cops.

"Pretty good there, Dylan." He nodded his head, impressed with the portal that Dylan had made.

"Does anyone want to make a stop? There's nothing on the side of the road here," He asked the group. He was fine in the car, but he knew someone else might want a moment to stretch their legs or something.

"Right behind you," Logan said, driving the car off to the side. He opened the door, and dashed towards where Dylan and Artie were on all fours. He hoped Artie knew where they were going- Chicago is a pretty big place. But he had faith in his daughter.

OOC: Someone has been doing his homework, I see, Dylan.

Artemis gained that animalistic look she got when determined. Her mismatching eyes grew narrow in concentration and her strides as she ran became longer, quicker. Her pace gto greater and greater. She stopped suddenly and looked around.

"Something's wrong."

OOC: "Left the faucets on when you left?" Would've said it, but it would have been out of character for Logan.

Wolverine stopped to sniff the air. "I dunno what you're talkin' about." He said. He looked around left and right but didn't notice anything that was wrong.

But, at the same time, he felt it. That odd feeling you get when you know that something was wrong. He didn't know why, but he trusted his instincts.

Logan felt angry.

He was angry that someone had made his daughter...his 'cub' sad. He took this personally. This was his cub. And he the Alpha male.

He unsheathed his claws and went into a battle stance.

"You got a problem or somethin', bub?" He asked the figure. He wanted to kill the person. Anger took the best of him when he lunged at the figure.

Upon leaping, Wolverine noticed this figure was that of a man. Not too old, probably around his 30's or so. He was armed with a gun, though. It looked like a regular .22 pistol. He shot once at Wolverine's chest, but by that time Wolverine had knocked the man on the ground. He stabbed into the mans chest with all of his claws, instantly killing him. Wolverine retracted his claws and walked back to Dylan and Artie, who were having a heart felt moment, so Logan stood there in the background, silent.

Wolverine gave Artie an odd look. He wasn't stupid- that stupid. He clenched his teeth and ignored it, though. Artemis was his daughter. He had to trust her that she knew what was right and what was wrong. He walked up to her, and gave her a big bear hug.

"Should've hugged you earlier," He chuckled.
