The Music Room

Subject: The Music Room Sun Apr 29, 2012 5:28 am

Artemis sat at the piano, playing notes and making up a tune. She played another tune, singing along to it.

"Na na

"I miss you
Miss you so bad
I don't forget you

"I hope you can hear me
I remember it clearly

"The day you slipped away

It won't be the same

"I didn't get around to kiss you

Her throat seemed to seize up but she went on to finish what she could.

"I hope you can hear me
Cause I remember it clearly..."

Dylan appeared in the room as she sang her song. He walked up and watched her as she played enjoying her talent for music even if the lyrics were sad and talked of not seeing someone again. He pulled up and chair and sat down next to her humming along as she sang and watched her.....actual genuine care was filled in his eyes and he hoped that he was providing her with some kind of comfort from just being there.

She turned to him. She cleared her throat. "I... Can you keep a secret, Dylan? I mean with your life? Because I'm not sure if it's true or not... And I... I can't keep it to myself anymore..."

Artemis did the rare thing she did which was looking him in the eye.

"I've had to keep a lot of secrets that I could lose my life over. So yeah you can tell me anything, Artemis." He told her in a calm and....caring way. He moved and sat on the chair close to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder.. Listening to whatever it was she needed to say.

"Well... You remember on the jet... And Sterling knocked me out?" she asked. She didn't wait for an answer. "Well, he showed me not a dream but a memory. One I hardly ever analyzed. And I've always grown up fatherless... Sterling showed me who he was... And I'm so scared of freaking him out now..."

Dylan hugged her tighter and whispered, "Logan." in her ear. "You landed on my shoulder when Sterling hit you. You mumbled Logan and called him dad. But I'm the only one that knows as far as I'm sure of." Dylan whispered to her as he looked about the room and then back at her.

Artemis nodded, understanding. Then her eyes widened in fear. "If you heard me, Logan was on the same plane and he could have heard me. He's got senses like mine only... his are stronger."

She cussed and hugged Dylan. "He already knows... He already knows..."

Dylan hugged her back. "So what if he knows, Artemis. If he cares about you then things shouldn't matter about him being your dad." He whispered to her and kissed her on the top of her head.

"Yeah. Yeah. But why hasn't he-" she broke off. For a moment she was completely still. Her grey eye flickered to match her blue colour. "You know what? Let's forget this. Why don't we go back to my room?"

It seemed like such an inappropriate thing for her to say that it seemed as if Artemis wasn't herself at all.

Dylan raised an eyebrow. "Uhmm, are you ok?" He asked her kinda confused by her sudden need to go back to her room. Especially at a time like this. He also took notice of her mismatching eyes becoming one color.

She smiled. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be? I'm completely fine."

She was acting oddly. She leaned and kissed him.

Dylan kissed her back but wasn't covinced. "What's with the sudden cheerful attitude?" He asked. It didn't make since that three seconds ago she was upset and freaking out and now suddenly she is all better again.

She shook her head. She kissed him again. "Does it matter? Come on, Dylan. Let's go back to my room. We'll have fun."

"You know the more you change the subject the more tempted I am to back to it." Dylan told her after kissing her back again.

She stood, pulling him with her. She wrapped her arms around him. "Good."

Dylan stood and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Seriously, Artemis. What's up with the change in attitude?" He asked her but was already leaning in to kiss her again.

"Artemis?" she laughed when she finished kissing. "What a weak name."

She kissed again and smiled. "And my attitude hasn't changed. I just want you."

"What about your little, 'I don't trust you yet', comment from on the roof?" He asked her but continued to kiss her. He wondered why she suddenly said her name was weak like it wasn't her name and that she went by something else. He was also still perplexed by her eyes suddenly turning to blue and losing the grey.

"What comment?" she said, shrugging. "I've never said that."

Her blue eyes seemed to glow and she cocked her head to the side. She kissed again and started to pull him to the door.

Dylan pulled back and stared at her. "Artemis. What has gotten into you?" he asked her like she was a different person all together.

"Stop saying that word. No one's going to answer," she shrugged. "I mean, I only know one weakling little b*tch called Artemis. And she isn't here, babe."

Dylan knew something was wrong then. He quickly vanished a reappeared a few feet away. "Who are you and have you done to Artemis?" He asked her a dagger flicked up into his hand and a sword in the other.

"Pretty boy worked it out, huh? I'm Selene. Technically, I am Artemis. She's tucked away in the corner of my mind, surrounded by mirrors. If she can see you, I don't know. I just know that for once, I'm in control. I'm the dominant personality in this mind," Artemis said, Selene working at her mind. "And I want you, Dylan."

"And what makes me do special, Selene?" Dylan asked her, keeping his guard up because he wasn't liking this situation at all.
