Tristan lead Sirena to Central park and looked around the area. "Better then a mansion that shouldn't of been under attack." He said to her.

I nodded. I say a spot and went there. I took out a blanket and spread it, sitting down.
"Well, dont stand there. Come and sit."

Tristan walked over and sat down next to her with a smile. "So is there anything I should know about you, Sirena?" He asked her as he looked out at the park they sat in.

"No... Just that im a mutant." i said.
I laid down, looking at the night sky. I didnt share my info, i didnt get close to anyone. I was a nomad, an invisible person. No one should care me.

Tristan smirked. "Alright then." He said to her. He layed back next to her and looked up at the night sky boredly.

I thought a bit, forgeting we were still connected, and let my life pass into his mind.
How my family was a military one, how they gave their lives to protect me.. How the people in the streets say me differently... How a guy that said he would protect me attacked me, living me for dead in a ally...

Tristan's eyes widened as she saw her life flash before his eyes. He coughed a bit and then looked at her. "I'm sorry I asked." He said to her indicating that she accidentally showed him everything. He just wished that he could have met and gotten to know his mother and father.

I heard his wish and my eyes widened. He saw everything.. Everything! I got up quickly and looked away, embarresed.
"You... You werent supposed to see that..."

"I didn't meant to. I'm sorry." He said to her and turned his back to her. He felt like he had invaded her privacy in the biggest way possible.

I felt bad.
"It wasnt you.... Were still connected. It should have disconnected but its really strong... Cant cut it."

Tristan turned back and looked at her from the corner of his his hazel eyes. "You think it's something we should worry about?" He asked her finding it strange that she couldn't break their mental link.

I shruged. I could feel his gaze and blushed, back to him.
"what... What are you thinking?"

Tristan shrugged and looked back at the forest ahead. "I don't really know." He to her with a sigh.

I closed my eyes and entered his thoughts. I wanted to know what he was thinking.

Tristan's mind was racing with too many thoughts to get in order. Eventually they all slowed down and he thought of the night of that storm when he was ten. Sitting up on the roof, getting stuck by lighting. Falling from the roof and then passing out without realizing night crawler had saved him. The thoughts went blank and then started back up with him waking up a few weeks later. He left his medical room and encountered the X Men and the other three heroes waiting for him. He was a mess of freaked out emotions and the next set of thoughts was him running towards his room and hiding next his bed, his hand charging with uncontrolled electricity. He was scared. More scared then he had ever been in his life. The Professor came to him and the the memory faded. Tristan had tears welling up in his eyes.

I cringed, my eyes glowing. I cried silently. I turned and say him. I held his hand lightly. I took a deep breathe and showed him the time when i was little.
I was in the kitchen when a mob cae in to kill me... Humans that hated mutants. My mother grabbed me and ran to the barn. I saw as they killed my father. My mom hid me as she went to close the door. I saw them kill her before she could. They went for me when a man with claws scared them. I ran away....
I openned my eyes and looked at him, face wet from tears.

Tristan couldn't take the sad thoughts and the tears escaped his eyes silentely. He helped her hand tighter and when the memory faded and she opened her eyes he wrapped his arms around her lightly and hugged her. "I'm not sure what it's worth. But I'm sorry for your loss." He whispered to her and held her in his arms.

I cried for the first time in years. I held tightly, as if the mob was there and was going to get me agian. I hide my face in his chest, hiding my tears.

Tristan held her tightly in his arms and let her cry for as long as she needed to. He didn't understand losing a mother or father but he knew that he would be in just as much of a rut as she was. It was only right that he comfort her through this.

I tried to stop, feeling weak. I hated it. It made me feel stupid... Bit i just held on tighter. I looked up at him....

Tristan looked down at her and gently brushed some hair back behind her ear. He smiled at her reassuringly and hugged her tighter.

"Because you're not a bad person, Sirena. You've just been thrown into a life of hurt that you didn't ask for." He told her when she asked why he trusted her. He wasn't sure if this was any part of it but he thought that he liked her. But that didn't make since when he had just met her.

I nodded, putting my head back on his chest. I thought for sometime, tho he couldnt hear it. I felt the connection. It was like a thick rope, or a steady flow of energy... It was strong. I couldnt shut it off, which scared me. I coudnt get close to anyone. Theyd st get hurt...or worse, hurt me.

Tristan looked down at her and held her close to him. He felt like if he let her go then he would lose he forever. He didn't want that he didn't wanto see her hurt. He brushed some hair behind her ear and just sat there with her in his arms.
