Artie was hiding from everyone again. After what had happened to her... She had taken a liking to hiding from people. Her only friends weren't anywhere near by anyway... She played with the aglet of her boot and fingered the blank silver dog tags around her neck, deep in thought.

Ben walks around thinking hateful thoughts about the xmen. No one will tell me who my father is and i know they know he thinks. He sits down and starts crying not far from where she was hiding. Ben hated this place.

Artemis got up. She saw Ben. "Oh, it's you."

She warmed up instantly. She moved over and sat beside him. "Dad problems too? At least you have some clue as to who yours is... Mine is a complete mystery..."

Ben looks up and says " the worst is they won't even tell me even though they know, i wish i was never taken here. Ben starts crying again, he hated the answer is so close but yet so far.

"The Professor has gotta know. He's... He's the Professor!" Artie said. She put an arm around Ben. "I know how you feel. Sometimes, I feel like... Well... I feel like there is the X-Men... And then, there is me. And I'm in the X League of Losers."

She smiled at him. "You remember when Dr Grey died? I tried to help her... I couldn't hold the water... I tried, God knows I tried... But you know.. Well... I had the feeling... That when I was passed out, my dad was there... Is that odd?"

Ben says " maybe he was there, maybe, who was there who is male?" Ben felt her arm on him and starts crying again,he curls up, its been a while since someone tried to comfort me and i wasn't use to it, Ben liked it, he just felt so helpless with his predicament.

"Cyclops... The Professor... Logan- I mean, Wolverine... Bobby but he's too young... That blue guy, Nightcrawler... Um... That's it. Oh, unless you include Sterling. That guy who likes to pop from my head. The one who broke a heck of a lot of kit by throwing me around my by hair in the Music room," Artemis counted off.

OOC: Sterling is a guy who used to be her imaginary friend as a child. As a teenager, she has a mental problem that was caused by her mother (who is still alive in the books after they faked her death~ I love my fan fiction). And I have a plan for him! xD You'll see during the plot.

Artemis shivered. "Please! Those two are most probably gay for one another. Although maybe that's just the case for Cyclops. I mean, I respect Logan to much to call him gay. He's obviuosly straight the way he went after Dr Grey."

She smiled at him. "Hey, didn't you live somewhere with your father before?"

Ben can barely talk now, he was crying to much. Ben says " I lived with Scarlet witch and Quicksilver before but i don't know who is my father."

"Wait... Who?" Artie asked. "S-Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver?"

She had to remove her arm because she was shaking. A pair of hands came out of nowhere behind her and pushed her, Sterling walking into existance.

"She's stupid, that Artemis," Sterling informed Ben. "She fears those pair and doesn't know why."

Artie kicked at Sterling but he caught her foot and pushed her bakwards, so she hit the wall on the otherside of the corridor.

Ben gets up, not wanting a person who actually seems to care hurt. Ben sends marbles from his pocket at Sterling.

Sterling saw the marbles but dodged them. He was more of a ninja than anyone... And all because of her imagination. Artie stood up and caught his hand violently. Sterling melted back to her mind again. She sighed. "Me the idiot... He's a part of my mind... He's right then... Oh, darn it! He's smarter than he looks!"

She tripped up over the marbles now.

Ben dives and she lands on him, he wanted the person nice to him not to be hurt so it was sort of instinctive.

Artie's hand was a little bruised but she was generally ok. "Are you alright?" she asked. Her bruise was healing fast and she tried her best not to draw attention to it.

"Easy," she said. "I use the posibility... of meeting him one day... The male is the one who passes on the mutant gene... So... I'm probably a lot like him. And you're probably a lot like your dad."

She looked at her bruise which was already next to gone. She frowned. "First time I found out about my regenerative cells... I was shot in the head by some guy called Magneto... You wouldn't believe how freaked I was... Oddly enough, I found the X-Men and instantly ran into Logan's arms... Odd... He crops up a lot since he arrived with Rogue..."

Ben says " th-rhis Magneto must be a real jerk." Ben didn't want to admit it but he thinks Magneto is his dad.

"Dude tried to kill me... And he tried to kill Rogue. Rogue's my friend," she said. "I don't like people who try to kill my friends. Put as many bullets in me as you like, it doesn't matter. But if you try and hurt an innocent, my friends or, if it ever happens, my family... You're as good as dead at my hand."

Ben says " yeah, well, i secretly sent a DNA test to a lab so hopefully they will find my parents."
ooc: this DNA test doesn't work since Magneto wouldn't be on the records

Her phone beeped. She checked. "Scratch that... Look at this."

The message was a picture of none other than the alive Ilianne Scrivello... Artemis' mother.

Ben nods and says " well, i was hoping." Ben hears a beep and looks at the picture. Ben than says " who is that?"
